This is a rise of 5.4% from the beginning of the year, following a very robust expansion of 12% in 2024 &#8211; the third-strongest growth in the past decade.<\/p>\n<p>The total net worth of the UHNW class rose by 6.7% to $59.8 trillion at the end of June 2025, equivalent to double the annual GDP of the US.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key findings from the World Ultra Wealth Report 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ultra wealthy make up just 1% of the global millionaire population yet hold 32% of this group&#8217;s total wealth.<\/li>\n<li>By 2030, Altrata forecasts the global ultra wealthy population will grow to 676,970 individuals, up by 31% from H1 2025 and an increase of 166,160 people.<\/li>\n<li>Asia is expected to see the strongest growth in its UHNW population, but North America will remain the largest ultra wealth region by far.<\/li>\n<li>There will be outsized UHNW growth in India. It has four of the top ten growth cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Exploring Market Impacts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ultra wealthy have an outsized influence across global markets, shaping everything from consumer trends, philanthropic giving to financial investments. Collectively, they annually account for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$290 billion in luxury goods spending, representing 21% of all luxury goods spend by individuals<\/li>\n<li>$207 billion in donations to philanthropic causes , accounting for 36% of all individual giving worldwide<\/li>\n<li>$30 trillion in investable assets , equivalent to 10% of investable assets globally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Their impact extends well beyond their personal wealth, fueling growth across industries, advancing philanthropy, and shaping the future of investment on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Future of Change in the Ultra Wealthy Population<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The composition of today&#8217;s UHNW population is dominated by the Baby Boomer generation &#8211; those born between 1946 and 1964 &#8211; which comprises a 45% share. This is set to change dramatically as the &#8216;Great Wealth Transfer&#8217; brings a huge redistribution of global wealth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The global ultra wealthy landscape is on the cusp of a seismic shift. Within the next 15 years, younger generations will account for the majority of the world&#8217;s UHNW population, with Millennials and Gen Z growing from just 8% today to nearly 35% by 2040. This &#8216;Next Generation&#8217; of the ultra wealthy population is building their fortune in entirely new ways, through technology, entertainment, and digital innovation,&#8221; says Brian Alster, CEO of Altrata.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For organizations, this evolution underscores the urgency of truly understanding not only today&#8217;s wealth holders but also those who will shape the future.
